Roll & Stroll

Roll & Stroll is all about helping people across Gloucestershire build more movement into everyday life. Whether that means walking to the shops, cycling to work, wheeling to school, or getting out for a run, the campaign is designed to make active travel feel simple, social and rewarding.
By taking part through Love to Ride, residents can log eligible trips, join in with their workplace or community, and take part in prize draws along the way. It is a positive way to turn everyday journeys into something that supports health, wellbeing and more active local travel.
Get moving your way
Roll & Stroll is for people at every stage, from those already active to those just getting started. You do not need to be a regular cyclist or walker to take part. Small changes count, and short everyday journeys can make a real difference to how people travel around Gloucestershire.
The campaign message is simple: choose active whenever you can. Walk it, run it, cycle it or wheel it, and make those journeys part of a healthier routine.
Prizes to be won
There are some great incentives to get involved. Prizes include an early bird £500 prize, a £4,000 holiday grand prize, workplace and encourager prize draws, and Love to Ride T-shirts.
That means every eligible trip can do more than boost your activity levels. It can also give you the chance to win something along the way.

Why it matters in Gloucestershire
Gloucestershire is a great place to get active, whether that is through local walking routes, everyday journeys in town centres, or rides linked to the county’s growing active travel network. Campaigns like this help more people see that active travel does not have to be complicated or sporty. It can start with one short trip, one walk at lunch, one ride to work, or one decision to leave the car at home.
Taking part as a workplace, school or community group can also help create a bit of shared motivation. It is a good way to encourage each other, track progress and make active travel part of everyday life.
