Business Sustainable Travel Grants for Waterwells & Kingsway

As part of Gloucestershire County Council’s Thinktravel campaign, which is funded by our successful Sustainable Travel Transition Year funding award from the Department for Transport (DfT) and through local developer contributions, we are offering a further round of sustainable travel grants to businesses in the Waterwells and Kingsway area of Gloucester.

The grants are to help businesses to encourage their employees to travel more sustainably, whether this is by public transport, walking, cycling, car sharing or electric vehicle use.

The maximum award available is £2,500 per successful application and is available for spending on capital or revenue related projects. This could be anything from cycle parking stands, lockers, showers, an electric vehicle charging point, a travel choice promotion stand, or setting up a car share scheme. The grant will cover the cost of materials. Installation costs will be met by the applicant business. The closing date for application is 31/01/17. Successful bidders will be announced by 03/02/17. All projects awarded funding must be delivered by 31/03/17.
